The TickerTime logo was designed as an abstract clock using both the tickers of Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) and Xilinx (Nasdaq: XLNX). The 'X' of Xilinx's ticker was made to appear as the hands of the clock. The creative artwork was designed by OC Designs Online (hyperlink in footer) who also designed the company's unique logo.
Since soft-core processors are currently available for FPGAs, embedded programming can now be performed in field programmable gate arrays. Intel is well-known for their innovative microprocessor technology while Xilinx for their prominent role in the field programmable gate array industry. The combination of their tickers was meant to illustrate the latest trend in FPGA design.
